PHOTOS: Work Continues on the Walt Disney Studios Billboard Mural at Hollywood Studios
In just a few weeks, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will usher in a new era when the Walt Disney Studios Lot officially opens.
Set to replace Animation Courtyard, the new land will recreate Disney’s Burbank studio campus and bring a fresh experience to the park.

Within the area, guests will find the Magic of Disney Animation Experience, a Drawn to Wonderland playground, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

The land will also feature a version of Mickey’s iconic Sorcerer’s Hat.
The Walt Disney Studios Billboard Mural
As Disney continues to put the finishing touches on the Walt Disney Studios Lot, a new mural is in progress nearby.

A mural has been taking shape on the exterior wall of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure theater.
The new retro billboard draws inspiration from Disney’s historic Hyperion Studio and the iconic signage that once adorned the building.

Featuring imagery tied to Mickey Mouse and the Silly Symphonies, the mural clearly evokes the look and feel of the 1930s.

Since the last time we checked in, the Silly Symphony logo has been added, along with the “Walt Disney” text at the top.

Looming over the Walt Disney Studios Lot, the mural does an excellent job of setting the scene and grounding the land in Disney history.

Hopefully, the rest of the new area will include more nods to the company’s past.

For now, however, we will have to wait and see.
