Scaffolding Erected at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort as Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace Refurbishment Continues
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that things are changing at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Over the past several months, multiple projects have gotten underway, including updates to the Grand Ceremonial House and a refurbishment of the resort’s dock.
Yesterday, we also shared that work has begun at Wailulu Bar & Grill at Island Tower, which is no longer offering lunch seating.

The Latest From Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
During our visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort this afternoon, construction was clearly visible throughout the resort.

Right now, much of the work is focused on Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, which has been closed since April 13.

Scaffolding now surrounds the Tiki Terrace as exterior refurbishment work continues.

A sign posted nearby informs guests that the location is currently closed.

In addition, the entrance to the Grand Ceremonial House is blocked, requiring guests to use an alternate pathway to get to Captain Cook’s.

The scope of the refurbishment is extensive.

Here is another look at the work.
When Will Tiki Terrace Reopen
At this time, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace is expected to reopen next month, though an exact date has not been announced.

Hopefully, however, we will get another update soon.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the latest news from Walt Disney World.
