Wailulu Bar & Grill Operational Changes Are Coming as Roof Refurbishment Begins
Since opening in December 2024, guests have been enamored with the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
Drawing inspiration from the stories, culture, and adventurous spirit of Polynesia, Island Tower has quickly become a favorite thanks to its prime location, lush atmosphere, and wide range of amenities.

And then there is the food.

If you have stayed at the resort, you know that Wailulu Bar & Grill is the go-to dining spot.

Located along the Seven Seas Lagoon, the restaurant offers standout cuisine, a relaxed tropical setting, and beautiful views of Cinderella Castle.
Serving both lunch and dinner, it has quickly become a must-visit for guests.

Unfortunately, a temporary change is on the horizon.
Operational Changes and a Roof Refurbishment
From April 23 through late June, the roof of Wailulu Bar & Grill will undergo refurbishment.

While the restaurant will remain open, it will offer walk-up service only from opening until 5:00 PM. Full seating will resume in the evening through close.

If you have an upcoming stay at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, be sure to plan accordingly.
Other Polynesian Refurbishments
As a reminder, other projects are also kicking off or underway at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

From May 11 through June 5, the boat dock will be closed for refurbishment, with alternative transportation provided.
Meanwhile, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace remains closed as work continues on the Grand Ceremonial House.
