Peter Pan & Captain Hook Enjoyed a Meet & Greet Visit in EPCOT
Our MickeyBlog reporters bumped into some familiar faces last night, as Peter Pan and Captain Hook had also chosen to spend the evening at EPCOT!
Yes, the fun duo made a rare — yet appreciated — appearance in the World Showcase, treating guests to a unique and unexpected character interaction experience.
After all, that’s the joy of a Disney Parks visit, right? You never know which characters you’re going to bump into!
Peter Pan & Captain Hook
As many guests will tell you, there are few characters quite as entertaining to talk to as Peter Pan.
There’s just something about the cheeky chap that never fails to put a smile on our face!
However, when you add Captain Hook into the scene, you just never know what kind of mischief the pair is going to get up to!
They do love to torment each other, that’s for sure!
A Fair Flight from Neverland!
So, what were these two doing in EPCOT last night, I hear you ask?
Well, first of all, you can’t blame these two for wanting to take a vacation from Neverland.
Sure, the place has mermaid lagoons and pixie dust and all…but it doesn’t have Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, am I right?
While Peter Pan most commonly frequents Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom for guest meet and greets, it’s not uncommon for characters to pop up unexpectedly in locations such as EPCOT, as part of a magical Disney phenomenon known as the Character Palooza.
Basically, a Character Palooza is where characters will appear at random in certain areas across the parks, sort of like a surprise, pop-up meet and greet opportunity for guests to stumble across!
Last night, it was within the UK Pavilion that Peter and Hook decided to jump out, and we loved seeing them play, chat, and sign autographs around the maze and gazebo!
Unfortunately, we can’t share any set schedule for rare character interaction opportunities like this — the not-knowing is all part of the enjoyment.
Hook and Peter themselves called their visit “a surprise and a delight,” so we’re just lucky to have been in the right place at the right time!
