Disney Seeks $10 Million for 2027 Super Bowl Ads
Disney is aiming big for its next Super Bowl broadcast, but advertisers are not fully sold yet.
The company is asking $10 million for a 30-second commercial during Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and that price is raising eyebrows.

Super Bowl ads have been getting more expensive for years, but this jump may be pushing the limit.
The company has told advertisers that it believes they should pay $10 million for a 30-second ad in its 2027 telecast of Super Bowl LXI, according to insiders. In addition, Disney also sought a $10 million match of funds that would be spent elsewhere in its media portfolio,

In past years, networks like NBC and Fox were able to sell 40% to 60% of their ad inventory early. Disney has not seen that same early demand so far.
One source explained the issue clearly: “The original ask was $10 million,” but also noted “there is a big delta from where they started to where advertisers want to be.”

Disney says it is still in active conversations and has strong interest.
Many of the deals include packages across its larger media network, including ESPN, MLB.TV, and Monday Night Football. These bundled deals can complicate negotiations.

There is also a lot riding on this broadcast. The game will air on both ABC and ESPN, with an alternate version featuring Peyton and Eli Manning on ESPN2.
It will take place on Valentine’s Day weekend, followed by a federal holiday, which could drive strong viewership.

Still, advertisers are being cautious. Super Bowl ads remain one of the biggest stages in media, but even that platform has limits when prices climb this high.
