Walt Disney Imagineering Has Filed an Intriguing New Permit For Aloha Isle
If you have been following along here at MickeyBlog, you know that 2026 has been a busy year at Magic Kingdom.
Over the past several months, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopen, the repainting of Cinderella Castle begin, and work continue on the refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
With Cool Kids’ Summer just around the corner, fans are also looking forward to the debut of Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue!.

Meanwhile, construction continues on Piston Peak and the upcoming Disney Villains land.
New Permit Filings
Yesterday, we brought you the news that Disney had filed a new permit for signage at “it’s a small world.”

Now, we have another update to share.
Notice of Commencement For Aloha Isle Sign Installation
Walt Disney Imagineering has filed an additional Notice of Commencement, this time for Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle.

The new permit assigns the work to Kentavo, the same contractor named in both the “it’s a small world” filing and the recent permit for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
The company also previously worked on signs for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and The Beak & Barrel.
Located just outside of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Aloha Isle is a fan-favorite snack stand best known for its Dole Whip.

At this time, there is no indication of what changes may be coming to the location.
It is, however, something worth keeping an eye on.

As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
