PHOTOS: The New Sorcerer Mickey Hat Has Arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Earlier this morning, we brought you an exciting update from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where construction on the new Walt Disney Studios Lot is underway.
Replacing the former Animation Courtyard, the new area will recreate Disney’s iconic Burbank campus and feature several new experiences, including the Magic of Disney Animation Experience, a Drawn to Wonderland playground, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
The last time we checked in, we shared that a new Walk of Fame-style area would debut inside the Walt Disney Studios Lot.
We also reported that the Sorcerer Mickey hat had arrived.

Naturally, we had to head over to Hollywood Studios to check it out.
See the Sorcerer’s Hat
When visiting the park this morning, we were thrilled to see that the Sorcerer Mickey hat is now in place.
Inspired by the Walt Disney Animation building in Burbank, the new Sorcerer Hat structure will serve as the centerpiece of the Walt Disney Studios Lot.
While not as large as the Sorcerer’s Hat that once greeted guests at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, the new structure looks right at home in the park.
Here is another look at the hat rising above the construction walls.
The Land Will Open Soon
With the Walt Disney Studios Lot set to open on May 26, we will not have to wait much longer to see the new land come to life.
