PHOTOS: Work Moves Over to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Façade Guitar
After nearly two decades of operation, the final curtain has fallen on Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, as the iconic attraction has officially closed.
Since the music stopped on the Aerosmith version of the ride, Walt Disney Imagineering has been hard at work transforming the attraction with a new Muppet-themed overlay.

When the updated version debuts later this year, guests will team up with Scooter to help make sure the Electric Mayhem leave their studio and make it to their Hollywood concert on time.
The Transformation Has Been Underway
With Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets set to reopen in just a few months, Disney has wasted no time moving forward with the transformation.

The last time we checked in, repainting of the ride’s upside-down entrance limo was underway.

Now, we are back with another update.

Now, Disney has begun repainting the façade’s iconic guitar.

The creation of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets is currently underway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As you can see, scrims still cover the majority of the attraction.
