D23 Announces “A Toast to Walt’s Plane” Event for Disney’s 125th Anniversary
Get excited, D23 members! A brand new celebration is coming your way, and you do not want to miss this.
D23 is launching its 2026 celebration, “Walt Disney: 125 Years of Inspiration,” with a special event focused on one of Walt’s most iconic pieces of history.
Get your tickets! “A Toast to Walt’s Plane” will take place on May 2 at the Palm Springs Air Museum, featuring a night of fun and storytelling.
A Toast to Walt’s Plane
This special event highlights the ongoing restoration of Mickey Mouse One, Walt Disney’s company plane.
Guests will get a closer look at the newly restored interior and learn about Walt’s travels through a presentation from the Walt Disney Archives.
You also get the chance to meet a Disney icon! Bob Gurr, a Disney Legend who frequently flew with Walt, will also share stories and insights.
Both general and VIP ticket holders can view archival items and take photos outside the aircraft.
VIP guests receive a rare opportunity to step inside the plane, along with a reception, exclusive merchandise, and a full event experience.

- 6:10 p.m. PT: Check-in for panel-only tickets begins.

- Special presentation on Walt’s plane from the Walt Disney Archives with Disney Legend Bob Gurr and the Palm Springs Air Museum staff on the interior restoration.
- 8-9 p.m. PT:
- Dessert (Jell-O with whipped cream-one of Walt’s all-time favorite desserts!)
- Time to mingle, take photos of the exterior of the plane, and look at the Palm Spring Air Museum’s display of archival items from Walt’s plane.
- Chat with a Cast Member from Cotino, to learn more about the Storyliving by Disney community in the Greater Palm Springs area.

Ticket prices range from $62 to $159 and can be purchased here. Sales begin April 10, with early access for D23 Gold Members.
This event marks the start of a larger D23 series honoring Walt Disney. More experiences are expected throughout 2026.
