D23 Is Holding an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ 75th Anniversary Screening at the Walt Disney Studios Lot
Earlier this afternoon, we brought you the exciting news that The Walt Disney Company is celebrating Alice in Wonderland’s 75th anniversary with a 4K restoration.
Set to be released on digital home video and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 5, the enhanced version of Alice in Wonderland was remastered by the Walt Disney Film Restoration Team over a nine-month period.

To breathe new life into the film, artists conducted a digital scan of the original negatives and meticulously cleaned the footage to correct dust, warping, and other signs of age.
The team also reviewed original production artwork housed in the Walt Disney Animation Research Library to ensure the restoration remained true to the filmmakers’ original vision.

Finally, the restoration team collaborated closely with Michael Giaimo, a veteran of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Needless to say, fans have every reason to be excited!
D23’s Alice in Wonderland 75th Anniversary Screening
D23 is also celebrating the 75th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland with a special screening at the Walt Disney Studios Lot.

The event will feature the newly remastered version of Alice in Wonderland on the big screen, along with a special pre-show presentation by Kevin Schaeffer, Director of Restoration and Library Management at Walt Disney Studios.
Attendees will also receive a limited-release anniversary pin and enjoy themed activities and character meet-and-greets.

Finally, guests will have the opportunity to shop at the Walt Disney Studio Store and The Walt Disney Company Store.
The VIP Experience
Fans who want to take their experience to the next level can purchase a VIP ticket, which includes a D23-exclusive walkthrough of the Walt Disney Studios Film Archive.

There, guests will be able to tour the facility, including the vault that houses the original celluloid negatives of Disney films. They will also get a look inside the film inspection lab.
Ticket Prices
Tickets for the Alice in Wonderland 75th Anniversary Screening will officially go on sale April 10 at 10 a.m. PT.
