ESPN on Disney+ Is Expanding to 100 Markets Around the World
Since Disney+ launched in 2019, the platform has continued to grow and evolve in exciting ways.
Over the past seven years, Disney has shifted its focus beyond its vault of classic content, leaning heavily into Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar.

In addition, we have seen the integration of Hulu, the launch of Streams, and the debut of vertical video content.
Needless to say, the Disney+ of today looks very different from the service that originally launched.

And then there is ESPN.
ESPN on Disney+
Last year, Disney integrated ESPN into Disney+, giving fans an enhanced one-app experience and the ability to watch live sporting events directly within the platform.
While the ESPN integration has been a success, the one-app experience has, until now, been limited to select markets.

That is finally changing.
ESPN Is Expanding to 100 Markets
Beginning today, ESPN on Disney+ is expanding into Europe and Asia-Pacific, making the integrated experience available in 53 countries.
In total, ESPN on Disney+ will now be available in approximately 100 markets, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

“This expansion marks an exciting next step for ESPN and Disney+ in our commitment to sports fans,” said Freddy Rolón, Head of Global Sports & Talent Office at ESPN. “ESPN has a longstanding tradition of delivering world-class content, and the continued growth on Disney+ allows us to extend our reach and create deeper connections with fans everywhere.”
While ESPN offerings will vary by market, the platform promises a diverse lineup of programming and major live events.

These include NCAA March Madness, college football, the Little League World Series, the Savannah Bananas, and more.
Additionally, studio programming and scripted content, such as the acclaimed 30 for 30 documentary series, will be available on demand.
Clearly, a new era of ESPN on Disney+ is unfolding before our eyes.
