‘Zootopia 2’ Has Ended Its Domestic Box Office Run
Four months after it first hit theaters, Zootopia 2 has officially ended its domestic box office run.
Released over Thanksgiving weekend, the latest Disney animated blockbuster reunites audiences with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, who find themselves tracking the “twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover in unexpected parts of the city, where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” the film’s synopsis explains.
A Disney Triumph

Fueled by unprecedented success in China, the film ultimately became the highest-grossing Hollywood animated movie of all time.
Last month, Zootopia 2 surpassed A Minecraft Movie to become the highest-grossing domestic release of 2025.

‘Zootopia 2’ Ends Its Domestic Box Office Run
A total of 128 days after its premiere, Zootopia 2 has completed its North American theatrical run.

While the film proved even more popular overseas, it finished with an impressive $428.1 million domestic total.
The Walt Disney Company’s latest blockbuster now ranks among the top 10 highest-grossing animated films in North America, sitting just behind Toy Story 4 ($434 million) and ahead of The Lion King (1994) ($425 million).

Additionally, Zootopia 2 surpassed Captain Marvel ($426.8 million) to become the 35th-highest-grossing film of all time at the domestic box office.
Globally, the film has earned an astonishing $1.867 billion
‘Zootopia 3’?
Already delivering strong streaming numbers, Zootopia 2 has proven to be the gift that keeps on giving for Disney.
