‘Sofia the First: Royal Magic’ Sets Disney Jr. Premiere and Disney+ Streaming Date
Sofia the First: Royal Magic is officially on the way, and royal fans are ready!
The new show brings a new chapter to the beloved Disney Jr. series, featuring appearances by your favorite Disney princesses, new art, and the debut of a new theme song.
Sofia the First Returns!
The new series follows Sofia as she attends The Charmswell School for Royal Magic, where she learns she is the most magical princess in the realm.
She must learn to master her powers while building new friendships.
Fans can also look forward to appearances from iconic Disney Princesses, including Moana, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora, and Elena of Avalor.
They will work together to guide Sofia along the way. This marks the first time Moana will share the screen with Sofia, with Auli‘i Cravalho returning to voice the character and Ariel Winter reprising her role as Sofia.
New Song
A refreshed version of the original theme song has also just been revealed, already having massive success with millions of streams worldwide.

The full soundtrack will be released on May 29 through Walt Disney Records.

The new show premieres Monday, May 25, on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand at 7:00 a.m. The first eight episodes will arrive on Disney+ the next day.
The series will continue to roll out globally throughout 2026, joining the growing lineup of Disney Jr. favorites available to stream.
