‘Hoppers’ Crosses Another Box Office Milestone
After another successful weekend in theaters, Pixar’s Hoppers has now crossed the $300 million box office threshold and still has room to run.
Released on March 6, Hoppers tells the story of Mabel, a young girl who transfers her mind into a robotic beaver, giving her the ability to communicate with the animal kingdom.

“What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? In Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film Hoppers, scientists have discovered how to ‘hop’ human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals,” the film’s synopsis reads.
Pixar Needed ‘Hoppers’ to Find Box-Office Success
After the disappointing release of Elio last year, Pixar needed Hoppers to succeed at the box office.

Thankfully, the film has earned strong reviews from critics and delivered an $88 million global opening, the best debut for a Pixar original since Coco.
The last time we checked in, Hoppers was closing in on the $300 million mark.

This milestone is particularly notable given the film’s $150 million production budget.
What’s Next?
At this point, it looks increasingly likely that Hoppers will turn a profit during its theatrical run, a major achievement for Pixar.

With Toy Story 5 on the horizon, the studio appears to be back on solid footing at the box office and could be heading toward another strong year.
The only question now is: how high can Hoppers jump?
