MickeyBlog News for April 5th, 2026
Happy Easter to all who celebrate, and to everyone else, may you have a lovely spring Sunday!
I know that you’re all busy spending time with loved ones, but Disney had a sense of humor this week.

Mss Bunny
We’ve actually got several stories to cover in MickeyBlog News. I promise I’ll be brief.
Meet the Easter Bunny
This week was a perfect storm at Walt Disney World due to a combination of events.
First, it’s the Easter holiday week, which always boosts attendance.

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny
Also, Spring Break is still ongoing throughout North America, and this was a popular week.
Tourists descended on the parks, making the parks a mob scene at times.

Most guests don’t require theme park reservations these days, but those who did were in for a surprise.
Magic Kingdom actually sold all its passes on at least one date, a rarity at the park.

2026 Easter Parade
Disney leaned heavily into the Easter Week festivities, complete with character greetings.
Yes, you could meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny at Magic Kingdom last week!

This wasn’t just an East Coast thing, either. The Easter Bunny appeared at Disneyland, too.
Speaking of The Happiest Place on Earth…
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite

By now, you should know just how popular all the Disneyland After Dark events are.
Most of them sell out, and the annual themed events are the most popular ones.

Disney
Well, Disney just announced when tickets will go on sale for a personal favorite of mine.
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Night tickets go on sale Thursday for the general public.

However, those of you who are Magic Key holders can buy your tickets as early as Tuesday.
The booking window opens for Magic Key annual passholders on April 7th and again on the 8th.

Then, tickets are available to anyone as of April 9th. I’ll warn you that you should act fast, though.
Pride Nite is so popular that the Governor of California showed up last year.

This year’s events will take place on June 16th and 18th, which is about ten weeks from now.
For 2026, entertainment options include the ‘Ohana Dance Party, the Pride Nite Dance Party, and Country Line Dancing.

So, you’ll have your choice of how to celebrate pride during Pride Month.
The Buzz Lightyear Surprise

Disney
History will remember that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens this Wednesday, April 8th.
Everyone who visited the parks during Easter Week will remember the story differently.

That’s because Disney unexpectedly performed multiple soft openings for this ride.
On March 30th, Tomorrowland added the new marquee for this ride.

Soon afterward, Cast Members welcomed some guests onto the attraction.
We weren’t sure whether this was a one-time-only test or a pattern.

Well, the following day, Disney again caught us off guard by having another soft opening.
This hasn’t been an everyday thing at the park over the past week, but it has happened a lot.

Early reviews indicate that Imagineers have really, really improved Space Ranger Spin.
You should prioritize this one the next time you’re at Magic Kingdom.
Welcome to the New Disneyland Paris

As Kristin Sabol mentioned on Friday, Disneyland Paris is in the news right now.
Fast Company has chosen this park as the most technologically innovative at Disney.

That statement wouldn’t have been accurate a year ago, but that’s how Disney operates.
The company identifies an attraction, themed land, or entire park that needs work.

Then, Imagineers come up with plans and ideas to reinvigorate everything.
We just discussed it with Space Ranger Spin, but it’s happening on a grander scale at Disneyland Paris.

DLP
Disney just renamed the former Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World.
This transition occurred in many forms, including the introduction of new experiences.

If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you know the ambitious one of all.
World of Frozen has officially debuted at Disney Adventure World, giving the park an anchor experience.

Anna, Elsa, and Olaf are roaming the streets of Disneyland Paris now, interacting with guests.
Olaf is unquestionably the most impressive of the three, at least from a technological perspective.

FastCompany gushes over the Audio-Animatronic, describing Olaf as:
“The latest advance from the division that was the birthplace of the BDX droids that debuted two years ago.”

Olaf is capable of fully independent movement based on learning behavior.
And I’ve got terrific news for those of you who aren’t making it to Paris anytime soon!

Disney intends to bring Olaf to its American parks and even Disney Cruise Line!
Then again, Disneyland Paris is totally worth the effort and better than ever as of this week.
Disney Miscellany

At Walt Disney World, you can buy a new ticket for the time when the crowds are lower.
This offer is a great deal for the half-day crowd and people who won’t be arriving into Orlando until later in the day.

The parks are also bringing back V-I-Passholder Summer Days starting next month.
On a different front, Early Theme Park Entry has removed one attraction.

You probably weren’t going to prioritize that one anyway, though.
A more tangible change has occurred at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom
Disney has switched up the locations of several character greetings.
The other big story this week is the temporary change in bus rules at Disney Springs.

I’ll go into this one more in Disney Headlines, but the gist is simple.
During Easter Week, the only people who could take buses to the WDW resorts were guests staying onsite.

This is apparently a temporary change, but we’ll keep you updated if it’s not.
Another big change is a response to the rising cost of gas. Mears Connect has added a fuel surcharge.

On the bright side, you can offset that expense by eating some free sandwiches at EPCOT.
Finally, at Pixar Place Hotel, there’s a one-of-a-kind character greeting this month.

Have a wonderful holiday, my many loves!
