A Missouri Woman Is Suing Disney After Magic Kingdom Arrest

A Missouri woman is suing both Walt Disney World and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office following her arrest at Magic Kingdom.

The incident in question took place on April 11, 2025, at the Magic Kingdom bus depot.

According to authorities, the woman, identified as Halen Holton, was causing a disturbance and loudly yelling. After Disney security issued a trespass warning and asked her to leave, she allegedly refused.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene and again instructed Holton to leave. When she refused, deputies attempted to detain her as she resisted arrest.

Holton was eventually transported to Orange County Jail and charged with disorderly intoxication, trespass after warning, and resisting arrest without violence.

The Lawsuit

As reported by WDW Active Crime, Holton has now filed a civil lawsuit against Walt Disney World and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, presenting a very different version of events.

According to the lawsuit, Holton says she was experiencing a serious medical emergency and repeatedly asked Disney Cast Members to call 911.

She alleges that employees refused to call an ambulance and instead mocked her condition.

The lawsuit further claims that Orange County Sheriff’s deputies also declined to call emergency medical services, prevented her from seeking help on her own, and placed her in a hot patrol vehicle while she was in medical distress.

Additionally, Holton alleges that, upon arrival at Orange County Jail, she was denied medical attention, water, and access to basic necessities.

What Holton Wants

The plaintiff is now seeking damages in excess of $50,000 per count.

At this time, neither Walt Disney World nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has publicly responded to the lawsuit.
