In addition to serving as the highlight of many Disney Cruise Line voyages, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point also plays an important role in Disney’s conservation efforts.

Previously, we brought you updates on Disney’s sustainability efforts on Eleuthera, including an Earth Day look at various conservation initiatives.

Disney Conservation Divers at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

In a new video shared on Instagram, Disney gave fans an inside look at a day in the life of Disney Conservation divers.

The video introduces audiences to Ali and Rebekah, who are tasked with monitoring reef health at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

In the clip, the duo dives beneath the surface to inspect limestone structures at the Disney destination.

These formations are important for reef health, as they create habitats for a variety of fish.

The divers carefully select specific locations to ensure they are monitoring the same spots over time.

By taking multiple photos, Ali and Rebekah are able to create a mosaic of the ocean floor and track changes in the ecosystem.
