PHOTOS: Cinderella Castle Repainting Continues at Magic Kingdom
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we have been closely following the repainting of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.
For those who may not remember, the iconic structure received a new color scheme in 2020 as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Leaning into the anniversary’s aesthetic, Cinderella Castle was painted in a rose-pink hue, accented by deep blue rooftops and gold trim.
After years of showcasing the 50th anniversary look, Disney announced at last year’s Destination D23 that Cinderella Castle would be repainted with a refreshed color scheme inspired by its original hues.

The Castle Repainting Began Earlier This Year
The repainting officially kicked off in January and has been progressing ever since.

The last time we checked in, the castle’s gray base had been completed, and the structure was largely free of pink.

Now, we are back with another update!
The State of the Project
When we visited Magic Kingdom this morning, we were thrilled to see significant progress on the repainting.

As you can see, the majority of the structure has now been repainted.

Based on what we can tell, Disney is currently finishing up the blue accents.

Two cranes are still on site to facilitate the work.

One is being used for the middle sections of the castle, while another is lifting crews higher up.

As you can see, painting was happening in real time.

The new blue paint looks fantastic.

The turrets were shining in the sun.

Here is another look.

At the very top of the castle, a small amount of pink is still visible.

While construction is ongoing, the moat remains drained.

Here is the current state of the moat.

A drape is currently hanging over the bridge.

All in all, the castle looks amazing!

It appears that work could wrap up soon

As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
