The ‘Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’ Drew 6.3 Million Viewers in Just Three Days
Two decades after launching a pop culture phenomenon, Miley Cyrus once again donned her iconic blonde wig for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.
Streaming exclusively on Disney+, the new retrospective sees Miley return to the Hannah Montana set for the first time in years for an emotional look back at the series that made her a star.

Along the way, she reunites with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, revisits her iconic rotating closet, and sits down for a wide-ranging interview with Alex Cooper.
The special also features Miley performing numerous Hannah Montana songs, including “This Is the Life,” “The Climb,” and “The Best of Both Worlds.”
“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus said.

“What began as a TV show grew into a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be grateful for that connection. The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m incredibly proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve supported me for 20 years.”
Viewers Have Tuned In
The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special clearly resonated with fans, as the retrospective accumulated 6.3 million views in its first three days of streaming.

Additionally, the anniversary special caused viewership of the original Hannah Montana series to spike, with the show seeing a 1,000% increase in week-over-week viewership.
According to The Walt Disney Company, the series has now been streamed for more than 500 million hours.
