It was only fitting, then, that upon his retirement, tributes to the longtime Disney executive poured in, culminating in a special video at The Walt Disney Company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
As Iger prepared to ride off into the sunset, he was remembered by friends, peers, and colleagues alike for leading Disney into a new era, expanding the company in unprecedented ways, and helping return the company to solid ground after his brief retirement.

After so many accomplishments, it is easy to forget that Iger began his career at ABC.
Perhaps it is only fitting, then, that one of the network’s flagship shows paid tribute to him today.
