Broadway Star Derek Klena Returns to Disneyland with the Savannah Bananas
Disneyland Resort recently celebrated Savannah Banana Day with a mix of baseball, comedy, and performance.
The team delivered a full day of entertainment, including fan interactions, themed treats, and lively performances that matched the playful spirit of Banana Ball.

One standout moment came from Broadway star Derek Klena, who now plays both as an entertainer and as a pitcher for the Bananas.

Klena grew up near Anaheim and spent much of his childhood at Disneyland with his family, making this return a full-circle experience.
Klena credits Disney with shaping his career path. From early visits to the parks to seeing Beauty and the Beast on stage, those experiences sparked his love for performing.
