As someone who grew up in the 1990s, I didn’t have the same easy access to Disney’s film library that kids enjoy today. Before streaming, the internet, and on-demand viewing, I was introduced to Disney’s classic stories in three main ways.
The first two were VHS tapes and the Disney Channel. The third, however, was Little Golden Books.

From as early as I can remember, my grandparents had a collection of Little Golden Books that introduced me to the stories of Pecos Bill, The Three Caballeros, and Mickey and the Beanstalk.
It was the perfect gateway into the wonderful world of Disney.

On May 5, Penguin Random House will publish Jim Henson: A Little Golden Biography.

The latest Little Golden Book promises to tell the inspiring story of Jim Henson, the man who never stopped dreaming and created the likes of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Elmo.
