PHOTOS: Latest Look at Construction on Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios
If you’re a fan of The Muppets, you probably are also very sad about Muppets Courtyard being closed down in Hollywood Studios. However, I GUESS if we can’t have The Muppets there, Monsters, Inc. is a good trade off!

Former Muppets Courtyard
The area is currently under construction and being turned into a land themed to Monsters, Inc., complete with brand new attractions, including what looks to be a very exciting roller coaster. We haven’t given you an update on the progress in a while, so we went by the area today to take a look!
Monsters, Inc. Land Construction Updates
Major work continues on the Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios! If you’re unfamiliar with the area, this is located right before you go through the tunnel to get to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge if you’re coming from the left side of the park.

As you can see, much of the brick facade on the old Muppet*Vision 3D building has been removed.

Even the clock tower has bricks missing!

It looks like some of it will remain, though, at least for now. I’m interested to see what work will happen next.

There is a lot of scaffolding up around the building that you can see above the construction walls.

We could also see a pretty large crane back there (I mean, it’s hard to miss, you know?).

Even more scaffolding is up around the buildings across the courtyard. This is formerly where the bathrooms and PizzeRizzo were located.

There is some MAJOR work happening here!

The water tower remains for now, but we’ll see if that lasts. Disney has not shared a ton of details about the new land besides a few artistic renderings, so we can’t wait to find out more!

We’ll let you know if anything big happens over here.

Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates!
