‘Zootopia 2’ Drew 32 Million Viewers in Its First Week on Disney+
After a historic box office run that saw it become the highest-grossing Hollywood animated film ever, Zootopia 2 is dominating streaming.
As a quick recap, the latest Disney animated blockbuster reunites audiences with Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, who find themselves tracking the “twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” the film’s synopsis explains.
A Historic Box Office Run
By the time Zootopia 2‘s box office run came to an end, the film had grossed an astounding $1.87 billion. Fueled by historic success in China, the film was nothing short of an animated blockbuster.

Needless to say, Disney’s expectations for the film on streaming were high.

Once again, Zootopia 2 has shattered even the most optimistic expectations.

Not only was the film the number one movie on Disney+ during its premiere week, but it also garnered an astounding 32 million views.
Together, Zootopia, Zootopia+, and Zootopia 2 have been streamed over 885 million hours globally to date.

Finally, Zootopia currently ranks as the number seven all-time movie on Disney+ and has been one of the most-streamed movies across all platforms in the United States for three of the last six years.
Clearly, Disney has plenty of reason to celebrate.
