by Justin Hermes · March 18, 2026
A new chapter in Disney history began this afternoon, when Josh D’Amaro addressed investors for the first time as the company’s CEO.
Starting off his tenure with a bang, D’Amaro delivered a sweeping overview of the company, honoring its past, celebrating its present, and looking ahead to the future.

After providing fans and investors with a preview of the upcoming Disney slate of films, D’Amaro turned his attention to the Disney Cruise Line, where he made a splash by revealing the name of the fleet’s next vessel.
The Disney Believe
It is my pleasure to announce that the ninth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will officially be named the Disney Believe.

The fourth Wish class ship built by Disney, the Believe will immerse guests in beloved stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.
“Onboard the Disney Believe, powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and also their dreams will come to life in exciting new ways,” Disney teased.
“From the mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid, there are endless stories waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard.”
With the Disney Believe set to debut late 2027, more updates on the ship will be forthcoming.
I, for one, can’t wait!
