Miley Cyrus Gets Emotional in New ‘Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’ Trailer
One week from today, Miley Cyrus will return to her Disney Channel roots for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.
Streaming exclusively on Disney+, the upcoming retrospective will feature Alex Cooper interviewing Cyrus about the creation of her pop culture icon and the lasting impact Hannah Montana continues to have 20 years after its debut.
“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus said.
“What began as a TV show grew into a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be grateful for that connection. The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m incredibly proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve supported me for 20 years.”
A New Trailer Has Arrived
Ahead of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’s debut next week, Disney has released a full trailer for the upcoming retrospective.
The clip begins with a montage showcasing Hannah Montana at the height of its popularity.
Then, Miley arrives at the studio, triumphantly declaring, “it’s good to be home.”
Throughout the rest of the trailer, Cyrus goes on an emotional journey that sees her reuniting with Billy Ray Cyrus, singing “The Climb” and “Best of Both Worlds,” and revisiting her iconic closet.
