Let’s Dig Into Ballast Point’s Food & Wine Festival Asado Frites!

We’re spending our weekend around the resort, checking out everything we missed this past week. From a new seating area in Avengers Campus to the lucky latte that arrived in Downtown Disney–we have tons to get through.

So, without further delay, let’s head to Downtown Disney, where there’s a special Food & Wine Festival offering!
Asado Frites – Ballast Point
If you’re looking for refreshing beers and savory bites, Ballast Point is your can’t-miss stop in Downtown Disney! There’s nothing quite like relaxing at a table (especially on the patio) and watching the chaos of Downtown Disney while you enjoy a meal.
And right now, they’re offering a Food & Wine Festival Special not advertised with the rest of the items–the Asado Frites! For $36, you get churrasco-style beef ribs marinated in Sculpin IPA, grilled for a smoky finish. They’re served with salsa criolla, marrow-buttered yuca fries, and topped with freshly-shaved Parmesan. (They recommend pairing this with a glass of Oaked Barmy Golden Ale.)

We got three tender grilled short rib steaks, and yes–they’re as good as they sound.
The marinade is perfect for the meat–we can’t talk this dish up enough.
