Driver Killed in One-Car Crash Near Walt Disney World
Tragedy struck at Walt Disney World early this morning when an unidentified driver died after a single-vehicle crash on EPCOT Center Drive.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred north of Overpass Road.
The speeding 2023 Hyundai was traveling northbound above the speed limit when the driver failed to account for a curve.

The car then ran off the roadway, traveling northwest, and collided with a tree.
The Driver Was Pronounced Dead on the Scene
After striking the tree, the vehicle caught fire and became engulfed in flames. When the Florida Highway Patrol arrived on the scene, the driver was pronounced dead.

The accident occurred at 1:22 AM this morning. No other injuries were reported.
At this time, the Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to identify the deceased driver. When they do, that information will be passed along to the highway patrol.
