Disney Announces Opening Date for “The Walt Disney Studios” Courtyard
Walt Disney World is the place to be this summer! New attractions and experiences are coming, and we are ready!
Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed earlier this year and has been undergoing a major transformation into “The Walt Disney Studios” Courtyard.

We knew the opening date was in the summer of 2026 and that exciting new offerings were coming, but now we have even more information!
The Walt Disney Studios officially opens on May 26, bringing plenty of amazing experiences and new opportunities for Disney fans.

This new area replaces the former Animation Courtyard and Star Wars Launch Bay, Disney Junior Play and Dance! area.
Just today, Disney shared a ton of new announcements about what is coming soon and the opening dates.

More summer fun! Guests can also experience The Magic of Disney Animation Building, the Sorcerer Hat, an Alice-themed “Drawn to Wonderland” Playground, and a refreshed area wth increased shade, seating, and a cozy studio theater.
