New Mary Poppins Fountain Refurbishment Begins at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that we have been closely following the refurbishment of the lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
Over the past several months, we have seen the resort’s central space get a refreshed look while still preserving the elegant ambiance and Victorian theme that have long defined Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Garden View Lounge
To achieve this, the furniture, staircase, and front desk are being updated with botanical accents and warm, inviting colors, helping to create an airy, garden-like atmosphere.

In addition to new furniture and carpets, the Grand Floridian has debuted The Perch, and the refurbished Garden View Lounge will reopen soon.
A New Project Begins
As work continues in the Grand Floridian’s lobby, another renovation has kicked off on the other side of the resort.
When visiting The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this afternoon, we were surprised to see that the central Mary Poppins fountain has been blocked off for refurbishment.

Ferns now block off the fan-favorite fountain, obstructing it from guests’ view.
Here is what the fountain previously looked like.

While Disney has not announced what kind of project has commenced, it appears to be routine maintenance.

Hopefully, the fountain will be uncovered soon, and guests will once again be able to enjoy the unparalleled ambiance that it offers.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
