‘American Idol’ Is Heading to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa for the ‘Ohana Round

American Idol is heading to Hawaii tonight for the franchise’s first-ever ‘Ohana Round.
Filmed at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, the upcoming three-episode arc will see the Top 30 contestants perform in front of industry insiders, social media stars, and music creators who have a combined social media reach of nearly 150 million followers.

The latest round comes just after Hollywood Week, which gave the hopefuls a chance to better showcase their vocal talents.
Keeping Things Fresh
As American Idol continues through its 24th season, the beloved singing competition has changed things up.

Earlier this year, the show debuted its University Twist, which saw performances take place at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Now, contestants will show their mettle at Disney’s beautiful Hawaiian resort.
A Pivotal Round
With the waves crashing in the background, sand between their toes, and a tropical breeze in the air, the Top 30 will be narrowed down to just twenty contestants by the time the ‘Ohana Round ends.
