If you have been keeping up here at MickeyBlog, then you know that the resorts of Walt Disney World have undergone numerous refurbishments of late.
In the last year, we have seen the Grand Floridian lobby overhaul continue, Stormalong Bay undergo an extensive refurbishment, room renovations continue at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, and renovations kick off at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

With everything going on, it can be hard to keep up!
Now, however, we are here to report that another resort renovation has begun.
South Point Pool and Spa at Disney’s Old Key West Resort Has Closed
From now through April 2026, the South Point Pool and Spa, BBQ area, and playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance.

Essentially, the entire recreation area between Buildings 55 and 56 is undergoing a renovation.
As Disney refurbished Miller’s Road Pool last year, it appears that they are systematically performing maintenance on Old Key West’s pools.
The Resort’s Other Pools Are Open
The good news for guests is that the Sandcastle Pool, Turtle Pond Pool, and Miller’s Road Pool will all remain open while work commences on the South Point Pool.

However, guests may see or hear maintenance activity during daytime hours.
So, if you have an upcoming stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, make sure you plan ahead.

You may have to walk to other sections of the resort to get some fun in the sun.
As always, be sure to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
