Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets Will Be a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Attraction
With the closure of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith earlier this month, work is already underway on the next iteration of the attraction.
When the beloved high-speed ride through Hollywood reopens later this year, the attraction will be known as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets.
Trading in Aerosmith for Jim Henson’s iconic troupe, the new attraction will invite guests to race through Hollywood alongside the Electric Mayhem, helping Scooter convince the band to stop recording and make it to their concert on time.
The Transformation of the Attraction Is Underway
Since the closure of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster earlier this month, we have seen Disney waste no time beginning the attraction’s transformation.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets Will Be a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Attraction
A new update to the Walt Disney World website has revealed that when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets opens later this year, it will still be a Tier 1 Lightning Lane attraction.

That means when purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, guests will have to choose one attraction from:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets
- Slinky Dog Dash
They can also choose two other selections from:
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
- For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- Toy Story Mania!
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
