Josh D’Amaro Celebrates the Christening of the Disney Adventure
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know how excited we are for the upcoming launch of the Disney Adventure.
The latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Adventure will homeport in Singapore, bringing the magic of Disney at sea to a new part of the world.

Onboard the ship, guests will step into seven uniquely themed areas: Town Square, San Fransokyo Street, Toy Story Place, Disney Discovery Reef, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Imagination Garden, and Marvel Landing.

They will also be able to take in Disney’s first-ever castle at sea!
Anticipation Is Building
With just days to go until the Disney Adventure sets sail, the anticipation surrounding the ship continues to build.
In the last couple of days, we got a tour of the ship from Robert Downey Jr., previewed the Adventure’s seven themed areas, and even heard from Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle.

Josh D’Amaro Celebrates the Adventure’s Christening
Josh D’Amaro, Disney’s next CEO, took to LinkedIn yesterday to celebrate the christening of the Disney Adventure.

“Last night in Singapore was one to remember as we officially christened the largest ship in our Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Adventure, with its Godparent, Robert Downey Jr,” he wrote.
“Our first vessel to home port in Asia, the Adventure is an important brand ambassador for our company, bringing Disney storytelling and experiences to an entirely new market. Next week’s maiden voyage with our first official guests enjoying all this magnificent ship has to offer will be a significant milestone for our company.”

In addition to touting the importance of the Disney Adventure, D’Amaro also made sure to thank everyone who brought the vessel to life.
“I’m grateful to the Imagineers, cast, and crew around the world who made this day possible. My thanks, as well, to Robert for joining us in Singapore and delivering a blessing as only he can.”

The Disney Adventure will embark on its maiden voyage on March 6.
