Here is the latest.
Animal Kingdom’s New ‘Encanto’ Attraction
As first announced at 2024’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Pueblo Esperanza will be home to a new Encanto dark ride.

Set to open in 2027, the attraction will invite guests into Casa Madrigal on the day Antonio receives his gift to communicate with animals.
Inside, riders will discover that his room has been transformed into a tropical rainforest.

The last time we checked in on the project, Imagineering was celebrating a major milestone.
Now we are back with another update.
An Interesting New Permit Has Been Filed
Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new Notice of Commencement for the construction of Animal Kingdom’s Encanto attraction.

The permit calls for the installation of set elements and assigns the work to Scenario.
While Scenario is not one of Disney’s most frequent contractors, the company has partnered with Imagineering before on Test Track 3.0.

Although the Notice of Commencement does not provide many details about the work ahead, it signals that construction of the Encanto ride is entering a new phase.
Hopefully, we will learn more soon.
