Critics Are Lauding Pixar’s ‘Hoppers’
by Justin Hermes · March 3, 2026
Pixar is gearing up to return to theaters next weekend with the highly anticipated Hoppers.
The latest Pixar original tells the story of Mabel, a young girl who transfers her mind into a robotic beaver, giving her the ability to communicate with the animal kingdom.

“What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? In Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film Hoppers, scientists have discovered how to ‘hop’ human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals,” the film’s synopsis reads.
The Reviews Are In
With just days to go until Hoppers hits theaters, the first wave of reviews is in.
As of this writing, the latest Pixar release holds a sparkling 97% “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

That score makes Hoppers the highest-rated Pixar film of the decade, even topping Inside Out 2 (91%). In fact, the last Pixar film to score this well with critics was 2017’s Coco.
What Critics Are Saying
The general consensus among critics is that Hoppers rekindles the Pixar magic, delivering the studio’s best film in years.

In his review of the film, our own David Mumpower wrote, “For fans of Disney and Pixar animation, Hoppers is a must.”
“Hoppers is the kind of movie that reminds us why we all love movies,” he continued.

If that isn’t a ringing endorsement, I don’t know what is.
Hoppers will hit theaters on March 6.
