At last year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Frozen fans got the news they had long been waiting for when Jennifer Lee took the stage to announce that Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 were both in development.
While the historic success of Frozen 2 made more sequels feel inevitable, Disney had been playing coy about the status of Frozen 3 for years. With Lee’s announcement, however, it became clear that the studio had big plans for the franchise.

Subsequently, we learned more about the upcoming film’s synopsis.
“In this new chapter, witness the wedding of the century in Arendelle as Queen Anna walks down the aisle and joins Elsa on a new magical journey filled with unknown challenges,” the film’s official description reads.

“And what’s even more exciting: the royal family is about to welcome a mysterious new member!”
The ‘Frozen’ Stars Reported Payday
After news came that Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 were officially in development, TheWrap reported that Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad had signed deals worth over $60 million to return for the two films.

Now, however, Kristen Bell has refuted that reporting.

Addressing her rumored Frozen salary, Bell clarified that “there’s been a lot misreported about it.”
“That’s somebody making a lot of things up,” she said about the report, which cited an unnamed source. “But, that said, am I happy to have that job and does it pay very well because it’s a successful franchise? Yes. And I’m so grateful for it, and I will continue to do it for the rest of my life if they’ll have me.”

Regarding her $60 million payday, Bell was amazed.
“Didn’t it sound absurd when you read it?” Bell added to ET host Kevin Frazier. “When I read it I was like, ‘Whoa! What?'”
