D23 Is Offering Exclusive Tours of Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre

D23 Members can immerse themselves in the wonder of Broadway with a tour of the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City!
Built in 1903, the New Amsterdam is the oldest operating theatre.

In 1913, the venue became home to The Ziegfeld Follies, which would continue running in the theater for the next 14 years.
In 1993, Disney signed a 99-year lease on the theatre and began a two-year restoration partnership with New York City.

Currently, the theatre is home to Disney’s Aladdin. Other Disney productions have included The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen.
D23’s New Amsterdam Theatre Tours
The D23 New Amsterdam Theatre Tours will take place on April 22 and 23 at 9 AM and 10 AM.

The experience is a 50-minute tour led by an in-house historian. Not only will fans learn the theater’s history, from The Ziegfeld Follies to Disney’s Mary Poppins, but they will also be allowed to walk across the stage and experience the theater from a cast member’s perspective.
Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to see Disney on Broadway props and costumes from a variety of productions.

Tickets Go on Sale This Week
Tickets cost $50 each, plus a $3 processing fee, and will go on sale March 6.
