Disney Legend Jodi Benson Stars in Into the Woods at Steinmetz Hall This Summer

Big news for musical theater fans! Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Florida, has just announced an exciting summer production for theater fans.

This summer! From July 31 through August 2, Into the Woods premieres at Steinmetz Hall, starring Disney Legend Jodi Benson alongside a talented cast of Orlando performers.

Best known as the voice of Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jodi Benson brings her star power and stage experience to this Tony Award-winning musical.

Benson, a Tony Award nominee and beloved Disney icon, has inspired generations of fans through her work in film, television, and live theater.

Now, audiences can see her perform live in Central Florida.

Into the Woods

Have you seen this dark twist of a musical? Created by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, Into the Woods weaves together familiar fairy tales…with a twist, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel.

The story explores wishes, consequences, and what “happily ever after” truly means.

This self-produced production by Dr. Phillips Center highlights Orlando’s creative community, showcasing local performers and artists on one of the area’s most stunning stages. 

Tickets go on sale March 6, but act fast! This is a limited three-day run and is expected to sell out fast.
