Walt Disney World Wait Times for Presidents’ Day Week 2026
Nobody expects images of Disney theme park lines to go viral in February, but here we are.
The Presidents’ Day crowds definitely gained plenty of attention, which raises a question.

Was this a holiday-only phenomenon, or did the parks have an upswing all week?
Let’s find out in the Walt Disney World wait times for President’s Day Week 2026.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney had it all figured out in 1954. He knew that demand would be high at Disneyland.
More importantly, the entrepreneur innately understood how that’s not necessarily a good thing.

If everything at the park had been crowded, park guests wouldn’t have had much fun.
So, Uncle Walt came up with a plan to host so many attractions that the flow of traffic would rarely be congested.

To this day, Disney balances this equation to prevent overcrowding at its parks.
Sure, some outlier examples exist, especially on major holidays, but the parks are typically manageable.

Then, we have what’s happening at Animal Kingdom right now as an outlier example.
As Disney prepares an entirely new generation of park attractions, some rides were closed.

Now, the few rides at the park that remain operational will naturally require longer waits.
As of February, Animal Kingdom only hosts five rides. Therefore, you should expect longer lines.

Tropical Americas signage
This behavior will remain until the Tropical Americas opens in 2027.
I guess what I’m saying is that you should get used to this new traffic pattern.

Here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times last week:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 87 minutes, down 2
- Na’vi River Journey – 63 minutes, up 7

Disney
Overall, guests at Animal Kingdom stood in line for an average of 52 minutes per attraction.
That’s four minutes more than last time and frankly just status quo for a while.

Yes, President’s Day played a factor, but you should expect longer waits here, at least until Bluey arrives.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Slink Dog Dash
This park is performing even more construction right now than Animal Kingdom.
However, the Hollywood Studios projects are more modest in scope.

DIsney
Some of them will even finish by this summer. So, it’s nowhere near as chaotic here.
To a larger point, Hollywood Studios has only closed a couple of relatively unpopular shows.
Therefore, the crowd patterns here haven’t changed as dramatically, and the shift has been gradual.
Here are the park’s average wait times last week:

EPCOT

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT
I’m the bearer of bad news at EPCOT. The dream has ended for another year.
The 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has come to a close.

But the glass is half-full! I say this because another festival is right around the corner.
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival starts next week.

This statement once again proves the wisdom of Semisonic in singing that every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Magic Kingdom guests waited for an average of 36 minutes per attraction.
That’s an increase of “just” one minute per attraction, which speaks to Walt Disney’s wisdom.

Adding more attractions keeps average wait times steady for the most part.
Still, I think it’s obvious that fans flocked to Disney World for President’s Day Week.

Also, you should expect this trend to continue for the most part through mid-April.
We’re about to enter Spring Break and Easter season, both of which raise crowd levels.
