While the entire TheWrap report is fascinating to read, it also includes a small detail that many have skipped over.

When discussing the planned Ursula hub-and-spoke attraction, author Drew Taylor revealed that Walt Disney Imagineering had plans to reimagine Paradise Pier as a villains-themed land before ultimately settling on the Pixar Pier theme that came to fruition.

The villains retheme, however, would have seen California Screamin’ feature a Jafar snack in the scream tunnels and the ride’s inverted loop transformed into Captain Hook’s hand.
Additionally, the Dumbo-style Ursula attraction was to be built on the current location of Inside Out: Emotional Whirlwind.

There is no word on how the Mickey Fun Wheel would have been rethemed.
The End Result
While Disney eventually opted to give Paradise Pier a Pixar theme, no good idea at Walt Disney Imagineering ever dies.
Now, it will be Magic Kingdom that gets a Disney Villains land, complete with a version of the Ursula attraction originally designed for Disney California Adventure.
