Rapunzel Brings Smiles, Joy, and Disney Magic to AdventHealth For Children in Orlando
AdventHealth for Children in Orlando got an infusion of Disney magic earlier this week when Rapunzel surprised patients with a special princess party.
The event was organized by Disney as part of its ongoing collaboration with AdventHealth and Starlight Children’s Foundation to create magical moments for patients and their families.

The party kicked off when children received their Disney Princess-themed Starlight Hospital Gowns.
A Magical Day
From there, Rapunzel interacted with each guest, offering warm hugs, plush toys, and moments of magic.
During the event, kids created their own lanterns, colored, and even shared stories of Rapunzel’s adventures with Pascal, Flynn, and Maximus.

Suddenly, the hospital hallways were transformed into a storybook setting fit for a Disney adventure.
Meet Azalea
Among those in attendance at Rapunzel’s party was four-year-old Azalea Marbury, who frequently receives care at AdventHealth for Children for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
As Azalea and her family are part of the Starlight Families community, the day was even more meaningful. This weekend, Azalea’s parents will be running for Team Starlight at the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

“Azalea loves dressing up like a princess, so with the Starlight hospital gowns she gets to express herself and feel a little more at home,” said Azalea’s parents. “Events like today just brighten her day. She gets to dress up, have fun, and meet Rapunzel. She gets to be a normal kid again.”
Disney and Starlight Children’s Foundation Continue to Make Magic
Rapunzel’s visit, and other events like it, are only made possible by Disney’s partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation. Together, the partners have designed Disney-themed hospital gowns, delivered toys, and held special character events.

“We’re honored and grateful to have a longstanding relationship with Disney in helping us advance our mission of delivering happiness to seriously ill kids and their families through programs that unleash the power of play,” said Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation.
By giving children hope, joy, and a respite from their daily struggles, events like Rapunzel’s can transform lives.

“At AdventHealth for Children, healing goes beyond medicine. When Rapunzel steps into a room and a child lights up, you can feel the power of joy,” said Kristi Baker, senior executive officer of AdventHealth for Children. “Moments like these bring light, ease fear, and strengthen hope for families. We are grateful to partners like Disney and Starlight Children’s Foundation for helping kids be kids, even during treatment.”
