2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Race Themes Have Been Revealed!
Thousands of runners from across the country will descend on The Most Magical Place on Earth next January as the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend returns for 2027.
Taking place at Walt Disney World from January 6 through January 10, the 2027 Marathon Weekend invites athletes and fans alike to take part in themed races, wellness activities, and plenty of festive fun.
As next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Marathon, runDisney has some extra surprises planned for participants and fans.

With less than a year to go until the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend returns, Disney has revealed the race themes.
Donald Duck Takes Center Stage
To celebrate 30 years of Walt Disney World half marathons, the event’s inaugural mascot, Donald Duck, will appear throughout every race course.

Runners participating in the 5K will have a doggone good time alongside Pluto.

The 10K, meanwhile, will be a nutty affair featuring Chip ’n’ Dale.

For the half-marathon, Donald and Daisy will take center stage.

Finally, Mickey and Minnie will headline the full marathon.

In addition to the individual races, guests can take on Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, which includes both the half-marathon and full-marathon, as well as the Dopey Challenge, which consists of all four races.
