After the parks reopened post-lockdown, a major change to guest experience debuted, too–the notorious park-hopping time restriction. Initially, guests couldn’t park hop until after 1PM. That time was then changed to 11AM, which is what guests must currently follow.
But a huge win for guests is on the horizon, and it looks a lot like all-day park-hopping!
Elimination of the Park Hopper Time Restriction – Disneyland Resort
According to Scott Gustin, who sat in on a discussion with Disneyland leaders this week, the resort is hoping to “simplify” the guest experience.
To do so, several changes are taking place over the next year, including the elimination of the resort’s park-hopping time restriction!

That’s right–later this year, the resort is expected to lift its 11AM restriction, allowing guests to hop freely between both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure throughout the day. For those who visited the parks before the reopening in 2021, it will look similar to the old park-hopping policy.

With that said, park reservations will remain in place, but resort leaders are discussing how to restore spontaneous park visits in response to guest complaints.
We’re so excited to park-hop freely again, and we’ll let you know when that change will go into effect, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
