While New Orleans remains the best place to celebrate Fat Tuesday, Walt Disney World is also getting in on the fun.
Mardi Gras Comes to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
When visiting Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort today, we were thrilled to see that Mardi Gras festivities are underway.

Banners outside the resort’s main lobby advertise that the celebration has begun!

Here is another look at some of the decor that has gone up.

The fun continues inside!

The Activity Schedule
This Mardi Gras, Port Orleans has an amazing lineup of activities planned for guests.

The fun will kick off at 10:30 AM with the Port Orleans Mardi Gras Pargo Parade!
The procession will first be performed at Port Orleans Riverside, before moving over to French Quarter for an 11:30 showing.

After the parade, guests can take part in Mardi Gras Courtyard Crafts from 12:30 PM until 4:00 PM.
There will also be two costume contests, one at 2:00 PM and one at 8:00 PM.

Finally, from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, the resort is holding a Mardi Gras Party!
Mardi Gras Snacks and Merchandise
Port Orleans has also cooked up some special snacks and exclusive merchandise for Mardi Gras.

These King Cakes look delicious!

Donuts are also on the menu.

Turning our attention to the new merch, we have an adorable tumbler.

There is also a new Mardi Gras tote bag.

You can dress for the party with this new Mardi Gras shirt.

There are also shot glasses…

…and a larger tumbler.

Last, but not least, don’t miss the Disney Beignet Loungefly!

Needless to say, a day of fun, food, and festivities is awaiting guests at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.

I, for one, can’t wait!
