Miley Cyrus to Celebrate the Best of Both Worlds With New ‘Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’
20 years after audiences were first introduced to the Stewart family, Miley Cyrus is bringing Hannah Montana back.
Today, Disney+ announced that the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special will officially arrive on March 24, exactly two decades after the iconic series first debuted on Disney Channel.

The upcoming special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will see Alex Cooper interview Miley Cyrus about the creation of a pop culture legend and the impact that Hannah Montana continues to have on fans around the world.

“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” said Miley Cyrus. “What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection. The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”
An Intimate Look Back
Throughout the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, Cyrus will take fans through the moments, music, and memories that defined a generation.
The retrospective will also feature never-before-seen archival footage and recreations of the show’s sets.
“Hannah Montana opened the door for so many fans to dream big, sing loud, and embrace every side of themselves, which is why its legacy continues to shine across generations,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television.

A Hannah Montana Stream Is Coming
Ahead of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, fans can catch up on the iconic sitcom with a special Hannah Montana Stream.
The new channel will debut on February 19.
