WATCH: The Otters at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Special Heart-Shaped Treats
Love is in the air at Walt Disney World today, as The Most Magical Place on Earth celebrates Valentine’s Day!
To ensure that guests have a little extra Disney magic this Valentine’s Day, we have seen rare characters appear at Magic Kingdom, the Dapper Dans sport special pink outfits, and Mickey and Minnie hold court in matching pink costumes.

Now, however, I want to turn your attention to a different kind of Valentine’s Day celebration.
Animal Kingdom’s “Wild” Valentine’s Day Celebration
Disney’s Animal Kingdom put a “wild” spin on Valentine’s Day by celebrating with the park’s otters.

In honor of the big day, Disney’s Animal Nutrition team prepared heart-shaped ice treats for Asian small-clawed otters Kevin and Mae. Luckily Dr. Mark Penning was able to share a video of the magical moment.

The team also included clam shells in the special feast, which encourages the otters’ natural foraging behaviors.

“Happy Valentine’s Day! đź’• Asian small-clawed otters Kevin & Mae are one of our most adorable couples at Disney’s #AnimalKingdom, so our Animal Nutrition team prepared some special enrichment for them and their pups,” Dr. Mark Penning captioned the post.

Needless to say, it was a special Valentine’s Day for Kevin, Mae, and guests alike.
