Are you part of any exclusive Disney clubs?
There’s more out there than you’d think! The Disney Vacation Club, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, Disney World’s Annual Pass program, Disneyland’s Magic Key program, and Club 33 are some of the clubs that immediately come to mind. (Like we said, there’s more than you’d think!)
But there’s one club with only a handful of members. Let’s check it out!
Club 55
Club 55 is an exclusive club, comprised of Cast Members who started at Disneyland in 1955! It’s so exclusive that only 4 people are currently in it today.

Here’s a little bit about some of the members!
- Tom Nabbe: Hired by Walt Disney himself, Tom was a Cast Member during Disneyland’s first day of operation and worked with Walt to bring Tom Sawyer to life in the park! He was also an opening day leader at Walt Disney World and spent 5 decades working for Disney.
- Bill Hoelscher: Bill worked for Disney for 35 years, starting in the opening summer of 1955. He went on to lead operations for Disney shows at the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair, and even worked at the 1993 exhibit, “it’s a small world.” (Sound familiar?) He’s worked closely with Roy Disney and worked in many roles, including Guest Relations, Cast Activities, and Resort Operations.
Their “membership” included their own themed windows at Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom.

They fondly remember how Walt proved everyone wrong by opening Disneyland in such a short span of time! The magic the duo helped start in 1955 has helped Disney Parks become what they are today.
