Marvel Rivals Celebrates Its First Anniversary With Exciting New Season and Professional League Launch
Since launching in December 2024, Marvel Rivals has firmly established itself as one of the premier Marvel games ever created.
For those who may not know, Marvel Rivals is a third-person shooter in which players compete in teams of six.

Featuring an expansive roster of Marvel characters, numerous playstyles, and a large community, the game has become beloved.
Millions of Players and Plenty of Awards
Just three months after the game launched, it already had 40 million active users.
Since that time, the game has continued to attract new players, winning multiple awards along the way.

These include:
- Discord “Standout Server of 2025” – Marvel Rivals’ official Discord was recognized as one of Discord’s standout communities of the year.
- PlayStation Partner Awards 2025 (Japan/Asia) – Grand Award – Marvel Rivals was one of the top five Asia-developed titles by global sales, earning a Grand Award from Sony in 2025.
The game has also been nominated for multiple awards, including:
- 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards (2025) – Online Game of the Year: Nominated among top online titles.

The Marvel Rivals Professional League
After entering the world of competitive gaming last year with the Ignite Series, Marvel Rivals is stepping things up by launching its own Professional League.
