NEWS: Frozen Ever After Reopens Early in EPCOT
Attractions at Disney World close pretty regularly for maintenance or major refurbishments. We keep up with all of these, so you know what to expect on your next trip to the parks!

And, we just saw a popular ride reopen unexpectedly early over in EPCOT! Let’s take a look.
Frozen Ever After Soft Opens in EPCOT
Frozen Ever After closed for refurbishment on January 26th and was expected to reopen tomorrow, February 12th. However, the ride soft opened today in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT!

The ride is not listed as being open online or on the My Disney Experience app right now, but it IS operating. We were able to get on Frozen Ever After this afternoon in EPCOT.

Word definitely got out that the ride was open again, as the line was pretty long! The wait time on the sign was listed at 50 minutes when we got in line.

The ride was closed for refurbishment as Disney replaced some of the character animatronics with updated versions. Instead of the projection-mapped faces on characters like Anna and Elsa, they have been replaced by faces that have more of a traditional look.

This is similar to the version of the attraction we’ve seen in some of the international Disney Parks, like Hong Kong Disneyland. The new version looks a lot better, in our opinion!

We definitely thought the lighting on the animatronics looked a lot better…

…and the faces look way more realistic now!

For reference, this is what the animatronics used to look like:

We’re super happy with this upgrade, and we think you will be too!
